Agency Briefs

‘Sophie is like a whole agency wrapped up in one!

She specialises in asking the questions that make a good brief brilliant, by applying her amazing marketing brain alongside her natural talent for writing. She hits the nail on the head every time, to help us create powerful campaigns and valuable marketing collateral.’

Nikki Grass, Group Marketing Director Endemol Shine Group

You might be a design agency seeking messaging routes for a new campaign.

Or a communications team keen to get a fresh pair of eyes on existing decks.

Or a digital growth consultancy in need of a content strategy and creative executions for a pitch.

You might be a TV production company, or a promotions consortium, or a hit-man, who needs headlines, content, tone of voice guidelines, company cultures, case studies, promo scripts, or any hotchpotch of strat-words-concepts.

I might be someone who can help.

Armed with the world wide web and a mobile telephone, I can get to work the minute you ping through the brief.

Or, if you’re in London or the South, I can rock up for the morning/ day/ week, feeling flash with a £4.95 flat white from your closest Fernandez & Wells.

NB:

If you’re planner-lite, I’m especially handy with strategic sell-ins.

Offload your consumer insights, and I can build a brand positioning or creative rationale, then follow it all the way through to execution.

CASE STUDY: Endemol Shine Group

ESG are a global production powerhouse: dynamic, high-profile, high quality.

They make boss content. I help them sing about it to territories worldwide, largely via B2B comms.

If they want to forge a presence at Cannes, make a stake in the awards arena, update the industry with a press ad, I’m at the ready to hone a script, distil an idea, nail a headline.

I may be filtering multi-media stimulus to the sound of kitchen silence, or collaborating directly with international clients on a conference call, trying not to whisper; there’s often a twist.

Briefs for larger companies are various in nature and often shape-shift en route to market.

I have to be nimble and ready to adapt. And to watch lots of TV clips.
